REFLECTION

Experience
This module has been a transformative experience, enabling me to delve deep into the intricate relationship between UI animations and user behavior on travel booking interfaces. From the initial proposal phase through to the advanced dissertation, it taught me the value of structured research and iterative learning. The most fulfilling part was designing the flip book and publishing the journal article on Kreate. This work not only extended my technical knowledge in visual storytelling, but it also served as an essential means of depicting the results of my research findings

Findings
This research has shown how UI animations are integral to user experience and decision-making. The survey data showed that while animations like loading spinners and progress indicators increase trust and usability, overusing or poorly executed animations can distract users and make them unhappy. One of the most surprising findings was demographic variance in animation preferences, which points to the need for personalized design strategies. These insights brought into focus the need for moderation and functionality in the design of animation by using the principles of user-centered design. Besides, designing the flip book and publishing the journal article allowed me to creatively synthesize these findings, which reinforced the relevance of my work in practical applications.

Observations
By working my way through this module, I see how uses of animation for functionality and aesthetics are updated in digital interface design. The results are interesting enough among survey participants; important, subtle preferences of users in general often couldn't be identified without this type of research. Nuances like these stress two pivotal aspects: first, design by empathy; second, an array of perspectives by users. The work on the flip book and publication also made very clear the power of visual mediums in communicating complex ideas effectively.
