Based on the given instructions, I have chosen to create a poster about the introduction to "NewJeans", a K-pop group, highlighting their most popular singles. The infographic will incorporate "timeline, category, location, and alphabet" to organize the information effectively. All relevant details are documented in the file below.

T - Timeline of releases (Time)
C - Type of songs (Category)
Visual References
To start the exercise, I tried to find some references on Pinterest, and there are a lot of interesting infographic poster examples. I thus found some examples is more related to the content that I want to do. Here are the references:

Sketches
Based on these references, I plan to sketch several layout ideas for the poster:
- First Sketch: The NewJeans group photo will be placed at the center, with the information positioned around the corners for a balanced composition.
- Second Sketch: The information will be aligned to the left side, while the group photo will be placed on the right. However, this layout feels a bit plain, so I may refine it further.
- Third Sketch: The group photo and a CD image will be positioned at the bottom, with the information placed at the top. To make the design more visually engaging, I plan to add illustrations like clouds and incorporate text within them.
Digitization
After deciding to follow the first sketch, I start downloading the elements that I want to put into the poster on Pinterest and Google. I decided to design the poster in Y2K style because it is more related to NewJeans.
Here is the background that I chose, after that, I started to place the elements and the text.

Figure 1.7 First Version of Poster
When I have done the first version, I found that it was a bit boring but I couldn't figure out the issue, so I just tried to add more elements and align the image.
Figure 1.8 Second Version of Poster
I realized that the poster had too many colors, making it visually overwhelming. To refine the design, I decided to use outline-only shapes and incorporate gradients to add depth and visual interest.

REFLECTION
Reflecting on my experience creating the L.A.T.C.H. infographic poster on "NewJeans", I gained valuable insights into the design process. Initially, I explored various layout ideas, sketching different compositions to find the most effective arrangement. I chose a Y2K-inspired design to align with NewJeans' aesthetic, incorporating vibrant colors and thematic elements.
During digitization, I experimented with placing the group photo centrally and distributing information around it. However, the initial design felt cluttered due to excessive colors. To address this, I refined the poster by using outline-only shapes and adding gradients, which enhanced visual appeal without overwhelming the viewer.
This project taught me the importance of balancing creativity with clarity. By observing how design elements interact, I learned to make thoughtful adjustments, resulting in a cohesive and engaging infographic.
