2. Design Direction

Create a sketch for your work

In the first sketch, the middlespace is for illustration part. I would place my own photo in the composition of the girl that I sketched out.

The subject of the second drawing was the Iceland Red House. I revealed that visiting Iceland was my desire, and I did so by adding a bit of background.

Create a digital poster for your work

The figure1.3 was my own picture, and other materials I found via Pinterest.

For the next step, I needed to crop out every subject of the picture that I found. By using quick selection tools in Photoshop, it made me feel easier.

I then began inserting the materials into my poster. The dimensions of my poster should be 1920 pixels in height and 1080 pixels in width. In order to make my own shot appear grayscale, I additionally added a photo filter in black color which can refer to figure 1.14.

I felt that there was still something missing from the portion of my own image. I thus made the decision to create a clipping mask with a word-chaotic backdrop and turn it into 20% opacity. After I applied it, this was more in keeping with my design concept.
