TUTORIALS
Your final task consists of integrating the challenges from 3 different modules:
- Weave a related motive (IVN) through the font and self-portrait. This motive should convey a narrative or theme that reflects your personal or artistic identity.
- Experiment with typography and layout to integrate the motive seamlessly with your font and self-portrait.
- Ensure the visual narrative created supports the overall message of your poster.
In your final task, you will bring together the knowledge and skills acquired from three different modules: Typography, Illustration & Visual Narrative, and Digital Imaging & Photography. Your goal is to create an integrated poster that showcases your abilities in each of these areas. You will use a custom font you've created (Typo), incorporate a self-portrait (DPI), and weave a related motive (IVN) through the font and image, resulting in a visually compelling and conceptually rich poster.
You will use the font created (Typo) in a poster that features your self-portrait (DIP), and you will weave a related motive (IVN) through the font and image.
The end result is an integrated poster
Size: A4 (2480 pixels x 3508 pixels (print resolution) 595 pixels x 842 pixels (screen resolution)

My basic concept for this attempts was to express the three things I wanted to do in the future. Firstly, doing a global tour. Go to Iceland as a second option. My greatest goal was to live in my own home with my partner and our dogs.
Follow up on these ideas, I made an effort to produce my initial sketch.

After that, I would like to digitise my sketch.

For the next step, I filled up all the colors. I also apply the grain in the illustration (figure 1.10) and using knife tools created some shadow for the aeroplane and pets which I had learned before. It looked better after I applied them.

After I pasted them into my poster which was in Photoshop, it look chaotic. I decided to remove something but it still looked the same. Thus, I would like to come out with another outcome of my poster. I also digitise a lighthouse (figure1.14) which was recommended by my roomate, I thought this outcome was better.

After this, I started to do the word with 3D effect that our lecturer, Mr Hafiz teached us. I typed out some phrases like ' SHINING IN THE SILENCE ' by using the font I created in lecture Typography and applied it 3D effect.

I place the 3D words into Photoshop then sent it to our lecturer for feedback. Mr Hafiz suggested that the words could be bigger and in various size. Thus, I decided to adjust the size of words gradually bigger. This was my final poster outcome.

REFLECTION
- As I think back on the "Self Titled" assignment, meaningful strikes me. This experience has motivated me to rethink my personal ideas and principles in addition to deepening my understanding of storytelling through images. The difficulties I faced when trying to create 3D words in Adobe Illustration made me face my feelings of hopelessness and disappointment with trying new things, which helped me become more conscious of my own abilities. In addition, I now recognise the important of open-mindedness and a variety of viewpoints when facing difficult situations. I have better my drawing ability using Adobe Illustration and places for personal growth through this reflection. To sum up, the reflective approach has been important in helping me draw valuable insights from my self-titled task. It supports the idea that self thought is an agent for positive growth and acts as a road map for continuous development. I can't wait to use the lessons learned in my next goals and to enjoy the endless journey of self-improvement.
